The House of Italy offers scholarships to students who are “full time” post high school vocational, community college or university students, members of the House of Italy or directly related to an HOI member, whether Italian or not, age up to 25 years, enrolled at an accredited educational institution are eligible for consideration for this scholarship.
A major or minor in Italian language or Italian Studies is not a prerequisite; however, consideration will be given to the applicant’s course of study.
Prior scholarship winners may apply; however, priority will be given to first time applicants.
Two (2) House of Italy Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000. Additional
scholarships may be awarded at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the House of Italy.
All scholarship award recipients must meet all criteria of eligibility. Scholarship winners will be
announced at the June 16, 2024 general membership dinner meeting and the checks will be
mailed directly to them immediately following that meeting. The scholarship recipients are
encouraged to attend the dinner meeting as guests of the House of Italy Board of Directors as
they will have been notified ahead of time of their selection.

composed of officers and members of the House of Italy. Applicants will be evaluated on the
basis of:

Please provide an explanation of your course of study, and tell what is the basis of your
interest in the Italian culture and how you plan to promote awareness of the importance
and contributions of Italian culture in your community.
